Memoream is an interactive, accumulative sound piece designed by Jesse Perlstein. It has been shown and installed in several locations and continues to be developed.
The viewer is invited to participate in the piece by sitting down and typing out a memory onto a seemingly endless flowing ream of paper. The paper that undulates forth is filled with memories, dreams and thoughts from past visitors and the artist himself. With every keystroke, a different sound is triggered, in a sequence of piano notes, field recordings, and spoken memories, meant to trigger memory and fascination.
