Ambifleurs was two-piece sound installation I composed in collaboration with the team at Fleursbella in effort to create an immersive ambient soundscape couched within a living floral arrangement. The sound installation was followed by a collaborative performance with my group Sontag shogun where the Fleursbella team built overhead and on-the-ground floral installation, surrounding and responding to the music. The audience was also encouraged to take flowers from surrounding bins and contribute to the designs.
Moss Morrigan is a track written for a moss-covered humanoid sculpture. A speaker embedded inside the sculpture played this track on a loop and was meant to be a sort of activation of the sculpture into some kind of benevolent forest goddess.
Ambifleurs was a composed for the main space, which was brimming with flowers and plants. It was originally designed and played as a quadraphonic piece, but has been subsequently compressed into a stereo track for archival purposes.
